A Letter to the CCB: I need documentation so I may write a factum for the Superior Court of Justice

Hopefully I receive it, swiftly. I want to get started on this as soon as possible. Willing to represent myself at the Superior Court of Justice.

To Whom It May Concern at the Consent and Capacity Board,

Legal Aid Ontario will not be funding a lawyer to write a factum for my the Form 4/Form 16 appeal process.

I would like digital copies of all pertinent documentation from relevant Consent and Capacity Board hearings so that I may write an appropriate factum to the Superior Court of Justice, since the appeal is before them and they require a factum.

Should I not be able to secure funding to receive a lawyer for that appeal with the Superior Court of Justice, I intend to represent myself.

Any advice on how to write one, or how to submit it, or who to speak with (other than the Pro Bono Ontario, as I intend to speak with them) would be greatly appreciated, provided it is sound legal advice.

Thank you for your time.

P.S. CCing the lawyer I had for the form 16/form 4 appeal process up until this point. He is still my lawyer for the form D appeal process at present.

Regards,

Steven Reynen

Update (16:53 on July 4th, 2025):

How can I write a factum to the Superior Court of Justice without this information.

I have some documentation for the Form D appeal process, but not the Form 4 and Form 16.

I have the reasons for the decision for the Form 33 as a physical document (I need a digital copy and any other accompanying documentation), and have begun contacting lawyers so that I might find one to initiate a Form A contesting the Form 33 (the hearing can happen on or after July 22nd, 2025)

I have funding from Legal Aid Ontario for this (the Form A for the Form 33), I just need to find a lawyer and have him or her acknowledge the certificate, provided they are willing and I agree with their arguments discussed during the initial consultation.

If the CCB upholds the Form 33 when we have the hearing for the Form A, then I must appeal it to the Superior Court of Justice.

If not, then I still need to deal with the Form 4 & Form 16 appeal process and the Form D appeal process. (Would the Form D appeal become moot if the Form 33 decision was not upheld by the CCB? Would Dr. Rogers then appeal it to the Superior Court of Justice)?

I also just emailed my lawyer that is representing me for the Form 4/Form 16 and Form D appeals for the documentation he has.

Hoping both parties get back to be as soon as possible so I may get started on this.

I also need to write a factum for the Forms D and Form 33 and possibly represent myself for those too (at the Superior Court of Justice and onward if need be), which is my constitutional right.

Legal Aid Ontario will notify me whether they intend to fund a certificate for a lawyer to write a factum for the Form D appeal, depending on how they interpret the response from Mark Handelman.

I can get support from Pro Bono Ontario, and possibly other resources.

I hope I can get the relevant information.

It would be ideal if I could get some of the documentation from my admissions at The Civic and The Royal, but I do not think I am permitted until I am discharged.

I will try to keep people updated on this situation and my progress.
