Being Denied Access to Necessities to Groom Myself

On Saturday, June 7th, 2025, an on call doctor told me I could not have access to scissors and a razor and shaving cream. I asked staff if I could have access supervised, they said no. I asked if a staff member could do it for me, they said no.

The on call doctor said the reason was 'No'.

I want to groom myself and get over the irrational fear of not having hair and a beard. I will grow my beard and hair out again after.

The on call doctor said I would get the privileges back on Monday (maybe).

I asked staff. First my nurse said yes. Then she said no.

Then staff all said no. They will not provide a reason.

What. Is. Happening here at The Royal.

Last I checked this is still Canada, not a Nazi concentration camp.
