Cross went missing and was found
Ready to live, suffer, and die for Jesus. Every single day. I am in it till the wheels fall off. Hallelujah! I am free in Christ!
So I took my cross off for a moment and left it on my table.
I came back to my room and could not find it.
I reported it missing/stolen and even sent two emails about it.
Then I returned to my room and found it.
It could have been missing or stolen - I am honestly not sure.
This makes me realize that while I am here all of my possessions could be stolen from me.
I could be stripped of my laptop, cell phone, bibles, hymn books, both simple wooden crosses (I have a back up I put in my locked cubby in case I ever find a wife... she would have to be a Christian too), my clothes, everything. My wallet was already stolen, reported stolen and not returned. I am in the process of replacing my IDs.
But even if they took all of my things, including my simple wooden cross - I would still be a Christian.
A patient has threatened my life twice verbally, and a staff member has laid hands on me. At the civic a guard was yelling 'F**k Jesus' as I was restrained and injected with pharmakeia.
I could realistically be beaten to death by a patient or staff member that is so deep in sin they are taken over by a demon (or for any number of reasons).
They could even sucker punch me when I am not looking (a patient has already walked up to me and struck me repeatedly twice here at The Royal) and I could drop to the ground and hit my head and die.
But even if they beat me to death while I was restrained - I would still be a Christian.
Christ Jesus is the Lord of Lords, and the King of Kings. My allegiance is to Christ Jesus. Amen.
Ready to live, suffer, and die for Jesus.
Every single day. I am in it till the wheels fall off.
Hallelujah! I am free in Christ!
2 Corinthians 4:7-12
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
