E-mail about Luke 22:36

Luke 22:36

Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Romans 12:19

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath; for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”

Matthew 5:38-40

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’[a] 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well.

Now I am non violent (to my core) and I am not suicidal (even though I am being walked to suicide - maybe the Canadian Government will stop this from happening by prohibiting Dr. Rogers from forcing me to take pharmakeia. I am leaving the appeal with my lawyer to deal with - he will take care of all the court proceedings).

Am I allowed to carry a non concealed sword while I am an inpatient?

When I a discharged it looks like the law will allow me to carry a short sword as long as I have it in a hilt. I wouldn't buy a gun.

I can cite Luke 22:36 because right now I do not have a sword. Note how it doesn't say to brandish it. Look at what Jesus told Peter when he 'defended' Jesus.

John 18:10-11

Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

I have been spit on here at the royal, and assaulted by patients, staff and passersby, threatened and insulted. I have continued to turn the other cheek (praise the LORD for the fruit of the Holy Spirit of self control for that) and have zero intention of doing anything but that.

But the bible says I should carry a sword. I won't use it for self-defence. The bible says to carry one.
