Regarding: Service Dog dream not dead?

I would love to have a corgi mix named Earnest (Ernie) or David (Dave)!!!

Hi (Client & Family Relations Team Manager),

You told me I could not have a service animal while I was restricted to unit, and that even if I got grounds privileges again that if Dr. Rogers restricted me to unit for a third time the dog would have be given away to someone.

But, hospital policy states:

The patient will assume full responsibility for the care and behaviours of the service animal at all times.

and

The patient will be permitted to leave the unit to care for the service animal's needs.

So wouldn't I be permitted to leave the unit, if only to the courtyard, to care for my service animal? This is according to the very policy you gave me yesterday.

I would appreciate you speaking with the appropriate staff in legal or human resources at The Royal to get clarification on this issue.

Regards,

Steven Reynen
