Things I know to be true (Just believe in Jesus!)
I am me (Steven Leonard Anthony Reynen is my birth name, and current legal name).
I am a Christian (I believe in Jesus Christ - the only "work").
I am sealed with the Holy Spirit.
There is only one God (The Father, Son and Holy Spirit)
I have been justified, am being sanctified, I will be glorified.
I am under grace (unmerited favour).
The bible is the Word of God.
Scripture can't be broken.
I am weak, helpless, powerless, and broken.
God is Almighty. All powerful, all knowing, everywhere, and eternal.
Saved by grace through faith alone, works follow.
Regeneration is an ongoing process lasting ones life time.
All things work for the good of those who love God.
Love is the greatest.
There it is for now. Maybe I will revise this in the future or add more to it. There is more. I am just trying to keep it real simple. You can boil it down to:
John 6:29
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”.
But simply put: I am saved. Praise. The. LORD!
The people tormenting me through various means don't seem to understand this. They keep trying to over complicate it, rationalize their behaviour, blame me or blame others for their own actions, or judge me.
(And heaven is eternal by the way. By tormenting me, each time you are making my eternity better!)
It is so simple.
Please humble yourself like a little child if you haven't already and accept Christ Jesus' free gift. Otherwise you are destined for the lake of fire.
Accept Christ, and the rest will follow.
It's so simple a child can understand it.
In fact...
Matthew 18:2 - 4
2 And He called a child to Himself, set him in the midst of them, 3 and said, “Amen, I tell you, unless you turn and become like children, you shall never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whoever then shall humble himself like this child, this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Sometimes I am childish for Jesus, and I catch flack for it.
But, whether I am childish for Jesus or whether it is Williams Syndrome (or some combination thereof) is beside the point.
I am free in Christ.
Please humble yourself like a child before Christ Jesus so you too can be free.
The amount of times I have heard something to the effect of:
"Well if all you had to do was believe in Jesus, everyone would be doing it."
"That makes no sense."
"Just believe in Jesus, that's it?"
Believe in Jesus. Then Jesus will take the wheel, one way or the other, and He will carry you home on His shoulders.
